Clear the shit up!!! CART TEAM

Hello, with all of this talk about if there is or if there's not
going to be a Glide patch for CART is really starting to get to me
because I know how these rumors start. So if someone from the MS CART
team could just clearifiy this issue I think it would change a ton of
attidues about MS and the game. I would love to see it along with the
rest of the population.

                  Thanks guys...............

Thanks for the feedback John. As you stated, that we'll just have
to wait for the patch and so forth  is just want I wanted cleared up for
everyones sake. I was just hoping that someone from the CART team would just
give us folks a "Yae or Nae' on the patch. No big specifics, just is one in the
making or not? I personally had been waiting for months for this title, reading
reviews, looking at screenshots admiditly MS got me pretty stoked on this title
but on my P200/32mgs/Monster3d the game was just doggin slow in the framerate
department which just baffled the hell out of me. Then I saw some
light................................. it was D3D! No
Wonder.........................

Just hopin' and prayn'  for a Glide patch (arent we all :)

What I meant to say is we can't tell if it is a rumor or not until the
release the patch. If we can all be patient I'm sure the patch will improve
things.

Thanks
John

We have already stated on this Newsgroup that the
CPR patch is being worked on by TRi right now and
will be sent to the beta testers shortly  - and be available
soon afterwards (next few weeks).

The track and car editors are to be posted shortly.

We are not absolutely confirming what will be in the
patch until we are 100% sure - but we know that performance,
AI and pits are in at the top of the r.a.s. list.

If we PROMISE a feature in the patch that doesn't make it,
I'm not expecting any r.a.s. to do us any favors and
thanks us for what DID go in.

Therefore we are not revealing any definite info right now
of what will be in it.

The TRI or MS have no need to say anything - you're already telling
people to expect a 25% improvement in frame-rate ;-)

Pardon me if I don't get too e***d - 12fps + 25% = 15fps! Well,
cover me with eggs and flour and bake me for forty minutes!

Cheers!
John

PS - Seriously, I do hope the patch turns CPR around, but if 15fps is
all I have to look forward to, I'll pin my hopes on having some form
of improved CCs to race against.

Will this "patch" be available on the CD as purchased from the store in
the near future?  I mean, how long until you burn new CDs with this patch
already on it as opposed to downloading it from the net?

Or are you not planning to do this and the patch MUST be downloaded from
the net?
