tagged as read, new and old alike. It worked fine for years, now it
doesn't. All other news groups work normally. I've un-subscribed and
re-subscribed and it's the same. Any ideas?

Even though you unsubscribe, Netscape doesn't delete the file it uses to
keep the headers and other info. Quit Netscape and then go to your
Netscape news folder and delete the file
rec.autos.simulators.snm
Things should work after that...

I deleted rec.autos.simulators.snm. When I re-entered Netscape and
started this newsgroup, it downloaded 1700 + headers, but they are still
marked as read. And in the upper right corner of the newsgroup window,
it says "Total messages: 1688 Unread messages: 0"
The other strange thing is that in the Netscape Message Center window,
the one that lists all my subsribed newsgroups, rec.autos.simulators is
in normal type, while all the other newsgroups are in bold type. Before
this happened, rec.autos.simulators was in bold type also.
Any ideas? Thanks.
