Re: IndyCar Racing Series II
Yes the time has come to crank up the cars and fill the computer rooms
again
with methanol fumes.....IndyCar Racing Series II (ICRS) is set to begin
with
our first race at Long Beach on May 22!
Several changes have taken place for our 2nd season, from a new director
to a
new division. Most of the changes are subtle ones, but here's an overview
of
the new season:
- 3 divisions; Rookie, Pro, and Champ. Rookies run with default setups, no
damage, and easier oponent strengths. Pros will run a modified default
setup,
no damage, and stiffer oponents than the rookies. Champ division will have
open setups, damage on, and longer, tough races.
- 7 new tracks have been incorporated into the schedule. We hope that
everyone has these available by July 31st, which will be the first race of
the 7 new tracks to soon be released.
- ICRS II will be run in champ season mode, and will take advantage of
most
laps led for additional points throughout the season.
- You MAY NOT change engine/chassis combo during the season.
- Yellow flags will be off at all road courses.
- No team points compiled this season.
The complete rules have been uploaded to the auto racing archive at
didnt.doit.wisc.edu (/Racing/ICR/ICRS/Rules/Rules.txt)

This season promises to be a great one! ICRS I laid the groundwork for an
exciting series, and the addition of the 7 tracks will make it a full
