I have a AMD2200+ 512MB ram with a GForce2MX 64MB (yes I know its the
bottleneck of the system!) and onboard sound, running Win98. I've tried D3D
and OpenGL, many different resolutions but always crashes. I have DirectX 9
and the latest NVidia drivers (I can't easily go back to previous drivers).

What should I do!! I'm considering upgrading my video card, but don't wanna
jump in when the new cards are about to come out and will bring the prices
of all the others down!

   I've seen problems with opengl but not d3d.  I would suspect that
finding a detonator driver in the 21.xx range might be the most compatible
for that old of a card.  Good luck.
