Kahn: OK now what?

by ga.. » Wed, 01 Jan 1997 04:00:00

 Hi All,
Ok, I've got Kahn for DOS and Kahn for Win95. So, after I load it
up in DOS am I to understand that all I've got to do is to load
Nascar2  select multiplayer/network and wait?  Hmmm, I'm pretty
confused.
In the Kahn for Win95 I get to a chat room where people are yelling
for this game or that on "socket" this or that. But no one there
answers any questions on how to actually enter  a game.
So my question. Does anyone have a faq on Kahn?  The one  at
www.teleport.com/~nbright is quite vague. I'd like to know specifically
how to log on Kahn in DOS or W95 in order to race in Nascar2. Thanks
in advance.

Regards,

I was kind of confused my self.  But basically if your are connected,
all you have to do is run the game, choose network, if you
host(answer), wait and people will join if they know you are hosting.
If you join(dial), if someone is hosting a game you should see it in
the list. Once I saw three seperate people hosting races.  I have been
on kahn a few times and have noticed not alot of nascar games compared
to others (Duke3d, C&C ,War2).  It may also be possible that no one is
hosting one at the time, so go to chat and see if there is any
interest.  I think all the port talk is for other games, such as
Duke3d.  I could not find a FAQ as well.

Kahn: OK now what?

I've been on Kahn for a month or so know and I'm trying to put
together a FAQ for The Pits for it with some guides on setting
up the software.

I've only hade C&C, Quake, etc, to test on it so far , but I got
Nascar 2 at the weekend so I intend to give it a go this weekend
and try and sort the configuration properly.

I'm probably going to be on the Netertainment Server on Saturday
Evening and Sunday Afternoon (GMT) so if anyones about and fancies
running some laps with to test it keep an eye out for me. Unlike the
others odd name , I use the 'Jed' handle so I won't be hard to find.

Cheers

Jed
