GP2 crashes

Hi fellow racers,

it might be interesting to compare configurations on those machines
that suffer from the infamous "sound loop crash" when colliding with
other cars. I for one have never suffered from that crash under
VGA graphics, it only seems to happen with SVGA on my system.

I tried the UNIVBE driver, but it still crashes. I tried the unpatched
vanilla CD-rom installation, still crashes. I tried running it in
my sound card Windoze sound system emulation, but it still crashes.

What did you other people try to get rid of those crashes? The game
*seems* to run fine until I watch a replay, but maybe there's no
connection. What sound card do you people use?

Thanks for any pointers,

I get this, but it has only started to happen fairly recently, since I
started using GP2 Edit I think. I run in DOS SVGA only, and haven't
tried re-installing, but I assumed this would clear the problem...

P133, 16MB, DOS 6.2, SoundBlaster 16
