do the real NASCAR guys get telemetry from the cars????????????

just a quick q. to find out if the real nascar teams get telemetric data
from the cars to help the engineers setup and drivers drive the cars?  My
guess would be 'yes they do' but im not sure

Wouldnt this be a worthy addition to N4 if the phys engine is so real (I
could do with it in gpl, cpr has it, with an 'intelligent' race engineer,
and gp2 has it as well.  It helps alot, no more guess work about running on
bump ***s etc)

No papyrus game (to my knowledge) has ever incorporated it.  Tyre temps have
been sufficient, but when you start with advanced technical setups, it helps
to know where the car is in relation to the track.  CART needs it, and if
the real world nascar guys have it and we dont get it with n4, we'll be
missing out.

So (if the answer to the question is yes), email Sierra suggestions and ask
for Telemety.

its not asking for too much...

  YES THEY DO!
I am suprised all our experts missed this one.  Winston cup cars are
loaded to the gills with telemetry.....during the testing season...
   :)
No onboard Telemetry is allowed during any phase of competition however.
Just a year or so ago...a crew chief got fined for leaving some of the
equipment in the car...it wasn't connected and it wasn't functioning,
but Gary Nelson's boys found it and Nascar zinged the chief.
