How's the sensation of speed in SGGT???

Hello,

People have been comparing the demo with Viper Racing. What I'd like to
know is how the sensation of speed is simulated in SGCT. I mean, in
Viper Racing, you could go as fast as 150miles but only get the
sensation of going 50miles.

How is it (the sensation of speed) compared to GPL (which I find to be
just right), and to NFSIII (which I find to be a bit too fast)?

To me, the sensation of speed is about the same as GPL.  It matters which
view though.  When in bumper cam (in all games) it looks like you are going
faster because you can see right below you on the ground.  In the***pit
view it seems about right to me.

Not bad.....   if you use the "bumper" cam..  it works great....

I could be wrong (has happened before), but in my opinion the
"cockpit" IS the bumper cam with an overlay.

Yeah thats what it is, just an image on top of the screen, but when you can
see the ground passing right below you, it seems like your going faster than
when you can only see ahead of you and not directly down.

Just my opinion but I think it is worse than the final version of VR.  I
get no sensation of losing speed when I run off the track until the car has
slowed drematically, I've only played the game for about 1 hour so my
opinion may change.  Paul

It is, and that's what kills this game for me :(

If I wanted bumper-cam, I'd buy a PSX.
