finally did a sub 1.30 at monza.

Well,  today is my day.

I think running a 1:28.xx is much more exciting than under 1:30.  Once
you get in the 88 second range, you are really struggling to find more
speed.

A 1:30 has much more to go.

Damn! Was I supposed to post the day I did a sub 1:30 at Monza? I am waaayyy
out of the loop here... well, about a year late but I did my first sub 1:30
(a 1:29.88) on August 9th, 2000.
So, a belated woohoo to me.

i hope that you intended this as an incentive to keep improving, but
for someone struggling to get under 1:31, its moving the goalposts out
of sight before i reached it :(

oh well.

:-) Welcome to the "quite fast normal people's club". This consists
:of anyone faster than 1:30, but stops at 1:28.58, cause anyone
:faster than that has to be an alien (or a railrider).

I have done 1:28.35 and I am by no means an alien or a railrider. I consider
mid-27 the alien cutoff at Monza. (And I'll never get there...)
