Same here, I even told them so, when I filled out their survey on EA's web
page a few months back when they were asking for requested features or
comments about their NFS series.
Keep in mind though that the EA folks have also had *extensive* user feedback
in wishlists which were gathered by some of the NFS fan websites, and which
were passed on to EA, these wishlists have let them know we WANT staged
courses, cops chasing us and all the other requests we asked for after
NFS2 came out. Still, they decided to ignore all that and give us the
lame-duck NFS2SE which despite real nice 3dfx graphics compares very sadly
to the original NFS or NFSSE or even Test Drive 2.
I am hoping EA finally delivers what the fans have been asking for,
but based on past performance be prepared to be disappointed.
NFS2 - disappointment
NFS2SE - disappointment
TD4 - disappointment (Although not EA's fault)
Keeping my fingers crossed for open staged road courses, traffic and cops,
and if I'm not pushing my luck, some decent driving physics models like we
have in NFS.
Cheers.
