>WHAT?!?!? NO VIPER?!?!?!?

Why would you want a car that in the opinion of many motor journalists, top
bang for bucks 0-60mph, but over that, positively terrible? :)

I just read that NFSIII will only have 8 tracks not 10. I read that at
ND4spd.com

"The Mercedes CLK GTR and Chevrolet Corvette C5 will be racing out of the
gates with the other horse-power heavy cars", though.

What no Ford's? I thought there where too many Ford's in NFS2se.
And when did Ford become an *** car manufacturer? I'm glad to see them
gone.

Are any of the tracks open course or will they all be
oval?  I don't mind the cars, but if there are no road
racing (like in NFS & NFSSE) then to me it's a waste!!!
BRING BACK THE OPEN ROAD TRACKS!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't agree more. Can't seem to get this question answered yet,
though.

Same here, I even told them so, when I filled out their survey on EA's web
page a few months back when they were asking for requested features or
comments about their NFS series.

Keep in mind though that the EA folks have also had *extensive* user feedback
in wishlists which were gathered by some of the NFS fan websites, and which
were passed on to EA, these wishlists have let them know we WANT staged
courses, cops chasing us and all the other requests we asked for after
NFS2 came out. Still, they decided to ignore all that and give us the
lame-duck NFS2SE which despite real nice 3dfx graphics compares very sadly
to the original NFS or NFSSE or even Test Drive 2.

I am hoping EA finally delivers what the fans have been asking for,
but based on past performance be prepared to be disappointed.

NFS2 - disappointment
NFS2SE - disappointment
TD4 - disappointment (Although not EA's fault)

Keeping my fingers crossed for open staged road courses, traffic and cops,
and if I'm not pushing my luck, some decent driving physics models like we
have in NFS.

Cheers.

I think you're pushing yout luck. ;-)

What I WANT is the same things. What I EXPECT is no open-course tracks
until at least NFS4, if ever, and decent NFS1-quality physics maybe in
NSF4 or 5. EA just doesn't seem to care what their customers want, and
they seem incapable of anything but the tiniest improvements from year
to year. (Actually, as we saw with the NFS2 fiasco, tiny improvements
are the BEST you can hope for from EA - games that are much, much
worse than the previous version with many features removed seem just
as likely.)

I agree, the NFS2 track designer is in DESPERATE need of being fired.
