GPL...IM CURSED!!!!

I just realized it but im cursed with certian times at almost every track.  I
just ran 50 laps at Homestead and set a PB time....only problem is i ran the
SAME EXACT time about 15 times.  Now i know consistancy is important...but its
frustrating to be stuck at a certian time.  I have the same problem at alot of
tracks.  Heres a summary:
Monza...run 1:30s all day....never ran a 1:29
Mosport...run in the 1:26-8 range consistantly....never got a 1:25
Spa...3:25.63...nuff said
Mexico...1:57-9 consistant....never ran a 1:56

And this list can be extended for all tracks except the Ring....the more i run
there the better i get...9:15 and dropping all the time.  Has anyone else
experainced this "curse" where you cant beat a time no matter what you try
(setups, driving line, etc).  Well im off to try and break 39.25 at
homestead...and 1:30 at monza...etc

Oh i forgot to mention this is in the Eagle.  In the Lotus i can go a little
faster at some tracks but i prefer to drive the Eagle...probably cause im
American.

I think everyone comes to a certain point when they can't get faster,
no matter what they try. That's the moment to try new things: new
driving techniques, change setups, try different lines, watch LOTS of
replays, use GPLDump and Spygirl to compare your laps with other
peoples laps...
I was stuck on 1:30 on Monza for quite some time, then when I finally
drove into the 1:29's, I seemed to have no problem to do them
constantly anymore. Now my pb is 1.28.45 and I quite often come very
close to this time. Still figuring out how some people do those 1.27
laps... (well actually I do thanks to GPLDump, I lose time in the
second Lesmo, but I can't take that damned corner any faster :)

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to try something different at the Ring -
I'm stuck at 8:20, and every time I try and go faster I spin off. I think
the secret is to only try and go a *tiny* bit faster. It's difficult
though.

Especially at Antoniusbusche kink at the end of the long straight - it's
so tempting to try and take it flat. Usually ends in hitting the end of
the hedge though:-(

I had a similar problem at the Glen a while ago. I found it useful to
change my driing style and run a few laps to see how it effected my
times.

For example, if you're a cautious driver, who doesn't pump the gas
hard out of corners and brakes early, try setting up the car so that
you can be a bit more aggressive with it without reducing control of
your car.

Also, make sure you're not using any of the driving aids.

Tiny bits here and there really add up there... When I was practising The
Ring I was paying so much attention to staying safe in some areas, I forgot
to push where it's actually possible to do so. I slashed 5 secs off once I
realised that (still in the 8m35-8m38 range tho').
