GPL and return to desktop problem

by Jaso » Sat, 21 Nov 1998 04:00:00

I think I've seen this asked before, but can anyone tell me how to fix the
problem that crops up whenever I exit GPL and return to the desktop? It
seems like the desktop is all of a sudden at 800x600(that's what I run GPL
in, but 10x7 for my normal res) and the screen is terribly out of center and
allignment. I can only see about half of the desktop size.
If any of you have experienced this, you'll know what I'm talking about. So
please tell me how to fix this problem, I want to play this game more, but I
don't want to have fix my screen every time I quit.
I use the 3dfx setting and I have a Pure3d 1 and a Velocity 128, if that
info is needed.
Please email me an answer as well, as I don't get around here much.
Thanks!

Jason

Say Hey Gearheads,
I'm having the same fault-out with GPL also. I'll be thrashing along and "pow"
I'm back in my desktop. I'm using a Banshee on a PII/233.

AtreidesK a crit dans le message

It is just impossible for me to go back to the desktop without quitting GPL
(AMD-K6 200, VOODOO 1 (Monster 3D) and Matrox Mystique). No problem with
other 3DFX games.

Any tip ? thanx.

Thierry Cailleteau.

PS: Choppy framerate too when win98 begins to do some swapping during the
race (prob with all 3DFX games). Thanx for help.
