Nor do I. Beyond the fact that both respond in a manner which appears
realistic, the only conclusion I can draw is that GP2 is easy to drive
at lower speeds but harder to drive on the limit. F1RS seems more
nervous, but as to which is more "realistic", of course I have no
opinion, nor empirical evidence either way.
Er, I mentioned only having DRIVEN on ONE course that Formula One runs
on, far from competing on all the courses! :-) That course was
Suzuka, which I drove once in a Skyline GT-R. I have also driven Spa
on their open weekend, and Hockenheim. That's it for F1 tracks,
although I've competed and raced on quite a number of tracks and ovals
around the UK.
All of them except Suzuka.
Some of them are, although I have never experienced the sort of grip
loss I would expect from getting an F1 car out of shape, with
mechanical AND aerodynamic grip falling off extremely quickly.
Likewise. I've heard rumour of a follow-up though, so perhaps in that
they can address the known shortcomings (as I hope Geoff will do with
GP3). Some more stable and user-friendly internet play would be nice,
although considering that internet play was not supposed to be
possible with the current version (according to the FIA license) maybe
we've got it better than we could have expected.
Heh - come on down :-)
Cheers!
