I downloaded the RC2K Demo 2 and finally got it to work.
But I have to ask: Is this the same game everybody is raving about ?
It's pretty, sure. But everything else about the game should rather be
compared with V-Rally than with Colin McRae or even GPL. Could someone
please post a short list with the most important changes they made for the
final version, I simply can't believe that this IMO crappy (sorry, but
that's how I feel about it) demo should represent a good game / sim. I have
absolutely no feeling of driving a car, and it is impossible to control with
my T2 compatible wheel. It's hard to describe but the steering is very
similar to Re-Volt on my machine.  But on the other hand it get's rave
reviews from R.A.S. readers (even Ian Lake) and the German *** press
gives out incredibly high ratings for it. So what did I miss ?
I'm inredibly confused about that game right now....

Have you got the steering configured as digital rather than
analogue?

I gave up with the demo because I couldn't get it to talk
to my TM Sprint wheel and I won't resort to the
keyboard.

Generally, on the basis of the Demo, I cannot see why
you'd prefer this to CMR.

I suspect I might be missing something though - I gave
up after about 10 minutes.

In a word, no. The driving model, in my opinion, is a fair bit better
in the final version. The steering's still a bit sensitive (and
braking/collisions aren't totally realistic) but it's a very, very
fund game, and not a bad sim. I didn't like the demo much either, but
the final game is very ***ive.

They really do need to release a final demo.
