I tried loading CM Rally on my system, when I ran it I got a
grey-with-vertical-black-stripes screen which required a hard boot and
scandisk.

Is this a known problem, or can someone pls help?

My system:

Acer P2-300
Win 98
Matrox Mill2 4Mb
Diamond Monster2 8Mb, 2.03 drivers (latest on Diamond site)
DirectX 6 from CMRally CD
SB AWE32
