but ZDTV showed the "European clothes iron" which is the "exact" model for
the iMac, it has the same colors, same translucent plastic, same exact knob
design. But this shouldn't surprise anyone because Apple stole the
original Lisa design from Xerox PARC. The Mac faithful will just have to
live with the fact that their new idol is a rip-off of a domestic appliance.

But back to the original question: There is/was a petition where you could
vote for more racing sims on the mac (http://www.macracing.simplenet.com).
About 1000 or so votes came in, but Papy still refused. On the other hand,
Thrustmaster got annoyed by so much mail (every 100 votes created one 8^).
You have to live with what's there: ICR2 and NASCAR. If apple sells more
items than it has in the past, Papy will no doubt consider porting GPL
because it should be an easy task. Market share is everything.
It would be interesting how GPL performs on a average 300MHz G3 and 3dfx
card under a PC emulator. Since most of the work is done be the graphics
card, the emulation slowdown factor would be less important.

>>> Blue Ribbon Campaign: Support Free Speech on the Internet <<<
I'm a bit of a newbie to Linux, but I'll vouch for the stability and
great networking support. It also happens to run on the same
architecture as Win95/98, which means at minimum a new user interface
is required and perhaps a few other tweaks?

FWIW, I've used both PCs and Macs, so I hold no grudges either way, it's
simply a matter of intelligent marketing.
