I drove for a couple of years with the old logi pedals, no problem at
all. They aren't as bad as people make out.

It was a FUNNY, not a statement.  Please reference the SMILEY at the end of

You obviously didn't get it.

As for the Momo pedals, they SUCK.  The throw is too short.  The angle of
the swivel is all wrong.  The angle of teh throw is all wrong.

With the exception of the Mad Katz Andretti Wheel Pedals from a few years
ago, I find them to be the worse pedals ever put in the box with any wheel
set, much less a $200 wheel set.

When I take the pedals out of a $200 box, I shouldn't have to modify
anything to make them useful, and in this case there's no squash ball on the
planet that is going to solve all the problems with the Momo pedals.

I'm glad you like them.  Want to buy another set?

It's simply a matter of personal choice.

I personally think they suck.

And some of us feel otherwise.

Which is, of course, just fine :)  That's why there is 49 different kinds of
Chicken Noodle Soup on the market :)

MSFFW.

I've bought several wheels since I got this 2 years ago.  Tried them, and
inevitably the MSFFW always ends up back on the desk.

It is durable as hell, the pedals are superb, and it just keeps on a
tickin'.  The optical pots mean zero failures or calibration issues.

Now, if Microsoft would only update the SideWinder software, instead of
giving it a totally bogus WHQL certification in it's current sad,
not-updated-for-two-years state.

I guess when you run the lab and write the rules, you can get away with
anything you want :)

Act Labs Force RS or Momo? Need advice.

by Mark Daviso » Tue, 25 Jun 2002 03:13:22

Like everyone says - with Momo, wheel is great, pedals are BAD.

I tried and tried with them.  Did the squash ball mod - which is a nice
mod - and that helped a little, but my consistency was shot.  Completely.
Heel-toeing is a virtual impossibility.

As an experiment, attached my old NASCAR Pro to the gameport and ran with
it's pedals.  Only then did I realise how truly dire the Momo pedals were.
Still using the TM pedals now...

I can only recommend the Momo if you can stretch to alternative pedals.  I'm
currently saving for the BRD set, but the current rig is more than adequate.

FWIW I run only N2002, GPL and the very occasional NFS:PU.  None of these
have issues with me running 4 controllers simultaneously.
