Go to the Apex and download these sounds.Crash hard sounds like the
metal of your car is getting crushed.Grass wav.is alright but I really
like the new skid sounds. The wav.file actually changes in tone and
gives some feel of cornering. They all add up to a better sounding sim
coupled with patrick's sound patch.

The Apex - Grand Prix Legends HQ is at http://www.gpl.gamestats.com and
Patrick's site is at http://homepage.tinet.ie/~expatjen/gpl.htm .  I have
not tried the Apex sounds yet, but patrick's sounds are great.

The grass sound works best when you only touch the edge of the track/grass,
then you can hear how the wheels pick up some of the gravel that is lying
there. But driving on the grass longer distances (like I often do ;) ), make
it sound a bit wrong.

I am working on a new skid-sound that doesnt change so much in tone. It
sounds good as it is now, but the pros can be a bit fooled by tone changes.
Any feedback about this is welcome.

I am glad that you like the new sounds, thanks!

I wouldn't put myself in that bracket, but I had trouble with them for the same
reason.  They make it tough to modulate the brakes properly as-is.  With that
ironed out they'll be great, as they do sound more realistic than the standard
ones.  Thanks for your work!
