I really like my TSW!  For more info email Trevor Thomas at

He builds them.  I've had mine for three weeks now.  No problems.  Unpluged my
joystick, and pluged in my new TSW, and I was racin' !  The t-2 is set up to
work as two joysticks. I've seen more than one thread on this group trying to
work out the bugs this can cause.  The TSW works as one joystick.  And does it
well.

If you can***down the price the Extreme Competition Controls CDS is a
cut above all the others in terms of build quality,  and finish.  There is
an advantage to the two joystick control which it offers,   in that it allows
the gas and brake to be on seperate axes, and act independently from each
other as they would in a real car,   with control spread over the full pot
range,  instead of half a pot as it would be with the gas and brake on one
axes.

Can't comment on the CH V.P. or the T2, or the TSW wheel for that
matter (http://www.webcom.com/~pinniped/tsw.html if you're interested
though - it comes highly recommended by those lucky enough to have
one), but a steering controller system adds to the game incredibly
well. One would be highly recommended from this corner.

I personally invested in the Extreme Competition Controls Inc's
"Competition Driving System" (ECCI CDS) kit, which, IMHO, is fabulous.
It's expensive ($459 I think for both the wheel and pedal units, which
are available separately), but it absolutely oozes quality; all the
way from its weight (~16lbs for the wheel I think, and ~12lbs for the
pedals, both of which are made out of stainless steel), through it's
awesome build quality (built to LAST, believe me!), incredible looks
(a 3 spoke, 11" diameter wheel, clad in hand stiched suede leather
with 4 thumb switches situated above the central, horizontal spokes,
within EASY reach of your thumbs; 2 on each side), right the way
through to its smoothness: there is no centre notching and you get
excellent control over the car. Most people coming into my bedroom and
seeing it for the first time point, stare and ask the rhetorical "What
is THAT?!" question! hehehe!

But Stuart, what do they have to say about your steering wheel?  ;)

Sorry...somebody had to say it... :)
