GP2 on 486-33 ??

Anybody out there tried running GP2 on a 33 MHz 486 machine?
I have one with 8 MB of RAM, and would like to know if I could run
GP2 in VGA mode.  I'm sure that SVGA would be totally unplayable, but
how about VGA mode, with some of the details off?

  Thanks in advance,

  Gary.

You could do it Gary, but don't punish yourself!!!
I have a dx2-50 with 8meg and I can practise tracks with about 200%
occupancy. No oposition cars with vga and EVERYTHING turned off gives
you playable, but not much else. Something I have noticed is that I can
do better laps on my machine than I can with a faster PC with the exact
setup, driving method etc. I think it's because I have ** A LOT ** more
time to react.

forget... just forget...even with all graphics turned off, that would
be unplayable... if you want to play F1 on your 4/33 get GP1... it's
still great game, and it's running like hell on that PC...

AMD 5X-133's are going for around $50; sounds like a reasonable
upgrade to me.

Hi,
I have a Dx-2 66 ,when i turn off all details and use 15fra/sec i have a
56% occupancy when i fallow a car not too close( textures on cars are
not too big) and a 103% when i fallow cars very close( big textures). So
i think it would be difficult to play with a dx33 :(.
