Nothing overclocked here, Latest greatest Audio, Video drivers.  This
Sim just wants to dump you to the desktop now and then.  Seems some
experience this, others do not. Hope a fix is in the works, or I figure
this out, or someone else does.

Your system is Identical to mine (except I run a PII 350, but that shouldn't
affect stability).  I have had no problems with N3, but right before N3 came
out I had tons of problems with a few other games.  The fix for me was
completely removing the V2 drivers (mine are a pair of STB Blackmagics) in
safe mode, then installing the drivers that came with the cards (glide2x
version 2.50) now all of my stuff works great.  Apparently some people are
having trouble with the latest drivers and SLI.  This might now work, my
problem was usually a hard lock-up, but I had a couple crash to desktops.
Also, if you do this I don't think you will be able to run anything that
requires the latest drivers.

Hope I helped,
Rick Miller

I would guess some sort of IP instability...

TCP/IP instabilities can take a system down to it's knee's.  Quickly.

Are you experiencing this with any other Sim, or have you noticed any other
flakyness with IP?

Well I run GPL online and I never experience anything other than the problems
associated with the 1.1 patch which destroyed my online experience with GPL.
GPL did not crash though. Could be an IP problem though. I captured a snapshot
of the crash in the debug file and have sent it off to pappy.

Thanks for the response.

Your correct in that alot of new games require the latest drivers along with DX6

Its a bug in N3 ... you have to have at least 1 ai car in practice in the
pits...if not ...as soon as all HUMANS take up all avaliable slots it dumps
you into windoze. I host a server every nught for 3 hours. If I have no ai or
less then the total allowed in the setup IT WILL DUMP. If I have more ai then
the Setup it runs fine.
