What happens if that particular entity doesn't *exist* anymore?  Is it

Yes, that is exactly why the term "Formula 1" or "Formula One" is found
nowhere in the game, but replaced by terms like "Grand Prix" or "Advanced
Trainee" instead of F2 or F3 cars.

It's similar to the licensing type that Ubisoft used for MGPRS2.
