How do you autobrake!? I thought that N3 has no such option? anyway I never
experienced problems with the black flag... only bug that bothered me more
than once is when I load the saved game my car crashes for no reason...

Jeff, you are right.....this sim, as we all know, is ***ed up beyond
belief.  And to think they've gotten my money 3 times (N2,N99,N3....but not
NL hahahaha)  The bugs will never be fixed and a patch will never be
released.  And to think that people actually deny the existence of any bugs
and*** Papy's rear.  If you spend any amount of time with the Nascar sims,
you will get bent over and ass crammed without KY.  It's a certainty.

It *is* possible to get black flagged for speeding
in the pits with auto brake on.  The auto brake
feature isn't intended to keep you from getting
black flags on pit road.  It's intended to help
people learning the game to have brake
assistance in the corners.  This is one of the
reasons we removed the toggle capability from
within a race.

As far as getting black flagged when you are sure
you kept under the pit road speed limit, it looks
like you are probably speeding up just a tad early.
Pit road ends with the front end of the pace car.
If you speed up prior to that, you're going to get a
black flag.  If the pace car isn't in it's stall, a good
indicator of the end of pit road would be the spotter,
or where the inside wall changes height. (if you
don't trust the spotter)

I'd like to look at a clipped replay of a bogus
black flag for speeding in the pits if I've missed
something here.

Hmmm, this reminds me of a SASCAR race on TEN. After a yellow flag pitstop
and taking the green for a restart, I was following Shawn going into turn 1
but he wasn't getting up to speed as quickly as everyone else. I was
wondering what was going on but didn't want to risk taking him out so I
stayed behind him for another half lap. Finally with cars bunched up behind
me, I had to go by along with a whole string of cars. Another lap later and
a chat message appeared with something like: "Darn Alt B", which of course
came from Shawn. LOL

I know I've left it on coming out of the pits and forgot about it.  Maybe
this is why that option is taken away, Shawn doesn't want this to happen
again. <G>

Actually, this is more realistic, no more rev limiting "cheats" that the
real drivers don't have. Now where did I put those instructions for making
the speed limit button...
