on the cleveland circuit i've noticed that when auto braking is
selected, that if you get off line even slightly, the brakes continue
to apply, and the car will not accel.  Is there any way round this or
will i have to get used to manual braking?

I used Auto braking for the longest time, but recently I started using Manual
Braking and I can go much faster on all the tracks.  I recommend that you
start using manual braking now. It seems the game is more enjoyable also.
