I don't see a thing wrong with it, matter of fact religion certainly play
into the drivers that do this for real, I know they pray before each race...

Why feel sorry for them?  If that's what gets them through the day(or life),
then more power to them.  If they truly feel that their God allows them to
compete well, then why shouldn't they mention it?  The fact that you or I might
not feel the same way doesn't make it right for us to put them down.

Wow, fancy that - an atheist defending a Christian's belief...<shrug>

Please God, let there be no wreckers.

<sigh>
I thought it was rather obvious that my comment was just a friendly
cheap shot, but I guess it wasn't as obvious as I thought, I even
included a smiley which I don't usually do as I enjoy making people
wonder if I was serious or not

I'll let this one slide since you obviously took my comment earlier the
wrong way ......

Well, like your friend Shawn you obviously took my attempt at a friendly
cheap shot as something else, but that's all it was, if you guys want to
have a league with people who believe in Christian values and the good
book or something like that, why on earth would I object to that even if
I happen to disagree on theological matters

As far as I know this NG is open to anyone interested in sim racing,
even religious sim racers :-), but honestly, you knew that topic would
attract comments right ? :-)

Shawn -
No offense, but it's not a "fact" until it's been proven.  Right now, it's a
belief that you and many others have(faith), which is fine.  You can't *prove*
it like you can prove the earth is round, or the sky is blue..

EP, you are SO wasting your time trying to use logic with a fundamentalist
(and by the sounds of it, born again) Christian. All they have is their
faith and they hang onto it with a desperation no logic can defeat.

Yeah, exactly.  The stock answer you'll get is that it's a "fact"
because the Bible says it is...

Then it is NOT truely a Christian Racing League? not with the inclusion of
"non-believers"  and if not why include that falsehood in the original post?

There's not anything wrong with it, but to us Europeans to couple the
American notion of "Christian" onto just about everything just seems
kinda wacko (not to mention ever so slightly propagandist. <Sarcasm mode
ON> Hey, we should know, we developed this particular religion, at the
mere cost of a few hundreds of thousands of lives, mostly Christians
btw, before we exported it to America where the true believers all got
to carry guns - whoopee) <Mode OFF>.

But anyway, to get back to my original point - sounds kinda like the
Buddhist Yodeling Club or the Hindu Postage Stamp***ers, catch my drift?

I'm not telling him not to hang on to his faith.  I'm simply pointing out that
he can't state it as FACT.  *I* think there's a difference...

Probably to keep out those who would flame mercilessly if there was a wreck...
I've raced with some of those guys - they were in another league I was in.
They seem like a nice bunch, but they're simply too FAST...<g>

I can well imagine the carset... "honk if you love ...." ;-)

Viper Racing would be better suited with its horn simulation.

Cheers,

Uwe

PS: this is also a "cheap shot" and by no means intended in any
offensive way. I've been trying to resist the urge to post this
one from the day I read the OP ;-) Having lived in a "born
again" phase for nearly two years during my youth I can well
relate...glad it's over, though.
