Guess some crisis occurred, since he was posting about it here just a
few days ago.
It is a valuable resource for the GPL community, that needs to return :)
www.gplpp.com has many tracks, but not as well-organized or navigable as
Magnus'.
I hope Magnus cools off and at least brings it back online, even if he can't
update it :)

***y hell, that's a shock. Especially as (as rms says in this thread)
he was posting about it perfectly normally very recently. He also
included the URL to it in his post to RSC, which is an odd thing to do
if you've taken something down.
All that leads me to think that something came up very suddenly indeed.
What it was, who knows - it's none of my business. I think it's very
sad that he felt he had to remove the thing entirely - even a slightly
out-of-date tracks database would still be an outstanding resource.
He says, "The track database will be back eventually," but that could
mean anything from in a month to in 2030. I'd have preferred him to
either give an expected date, or to say he doesn't know - stringing us
along like that[1] is a little bit hard. I'd actually prefer to be told
it's not going to happen at all than to be told it'll be along
sometime, but we can't know when. I hate that sort of thing.
[1] That phrase gives an unfair impression, but I can't think of a
short alternative.

Great shame. Magnus did a fantastic job there. Hopefully he won't be
away too long.
