Yes, I've seen the voodoo I in action (I think it was a monster 3d on
a friend's P-200, running F1RS), and yes, it impressed me. But what
will impress you is the frame rate and speed on the N64 which comes
complete at the price tag of one of your Voodoo I cards, not to
mention the money they'll charge you for a voodoo II. Personally
it tells me a story of the effectiveness of the underlying OS.

>Ubisoft has already made on F1 driving game for N64. It was crap.

Wrong. Ubisoft has not made the game, just distributed it. It was
a sluggish conversion of "Human Grand Prix" and a very bad one at that.

Yeah right. Thank god it's not running under Windows. ;-)

Er, I beg your pardon? The N64 actually is a little SGI with a fabulous
price tag.

Oh my, I better stop now.

A good example of what N64 is 'capable' of.

So you haven't seen any N64 games then? Look at Goldeneye, it is
S-L-O-W.

Since people from 3Dfx have worked for SGI for years before starting
3Dfx company, you could say a 3Dfx Voodoo card is a little SGI on one
card with a fabulous price tag.
N64 is much weaker than any SGI workstation in active use, so you may
stop that bs about it being one. Unless you were talking about some 10
years old SGI workstation with no hardware texturemapping. :^)

My sentiments exactly. There are quite a few 60 fps games for
Playstation, but I still haven't seen even one for N64. Mostly N64
games are running at about 20fps, and it is a big event if a N64 game
runs at constant 30 fps.

Yea sure, have fun driving a sim with your N64 gamepad. I'll be
driving it on my PC/3DFX with a wheel and pedals.

I'll never argue in support of Win95- don't get me wrong there- but
given the lousy resolution a TV works with, there is no comparison at
all. Try 800X600 Quake II on a 19" monitor, and compare that to
Starfox on a 27" TV.

Big difference.
