I 've had an increase in frame rate (from 36ps to 37/38) but it
consistently drops about 10 or more every time I drive passed the pits
at any given circuit. When I leave the pits for the first time, the
frame rate quickly drops from 34 to 22 as if the game has told the
machine to perform some external function. It seems to occur the very
first time I turn the wheel, sometimes I get the feeling the game is
applying the required force feedback settings to the car through the
steering wheel driver, that's a very wild guess BTW.
I found though that this problem disappears once I replace the glide
2.60 with that glide wrapper we all know about.
I have 2 pc's  and the same behaviour occurs.
One PC is a pii 450 with 2 12mb v2 sli, the other is a pii 333 o/c to
500mhz and V3 3000 AGP, both have 128mb pc100 ram.
Hope this info is of any use.

I am experiencing exactly the same thing...most people don't seem to drive
with a full field so they are not getting this.  Try reducing your field to
5 (I am guessing you have it on full based on your quoted frame rates) and
see if the problem disappears.

Marc.
