Hi,

We have just placed a new demo of Power F1 on our web site. This one allows
for players to use joysticks and other controllers as well as the keyboard.

Have fun,

Lara

>Doesn't work for me.

>I downloaded the 5MEG file
>pkunzip -d
>setsound
>run the program, config my controller (thrustmaster t2)
>game starts, says loading silverstone... goes to black screen with a stuttering
>engine sound in background. have to reboot out of it.

Try the config  1 Port 2 buttons (port 0).  Worked for my T2.

No sound whenever i get into a race under Win95. Works fine in DOS. Anyone
has the same problem? I'm talking about the full version. The demo is fine
tthough.

Where is this demo. And how is this sim? The box looks utterly
amazing.

Don't bother wasting your time on Eidos' Power F1, you'll just have to
delete it from your hard drive soon enuf.  I felt that the graphics in
SVGA mode were good eye candy, but the car control is very poor.  The
major hang up is that there is a huge dead zone around the center of the
steering, which causes minor adjustments of your steering wheel to go
unnoticed by the game.  THIS IS NOT HOW GRAN PRIX CARS REACT.  Might be
ok with keyboard though.

I had another setup problem with the game which caused me not to get too
far into it.  When I press the brake, the car accelerates.   I have
tried this game with both the T1 wheel and MS sidewinder pro joystick.
On both, the control setup didn't work properly and I had no brakes.
This combined with the steering problem keeps me from commenting on the
other car's AI.  I couldn't get near them without hitting them;-)

I had a laugh when already twice I went to the above address and found
the F1DEMO.ZIO, a only 305 bytes to download.

Check it out every newtrier, it's fun!.
