Well done :-)

I *love* Spa. IN fact, my Spa time (improved tonight to 3:17.94 - must
upload to GPLRank...) is the main reason for my negative h/cap.

Just how do you break the 3:20 at Spa is beyond me. I've even tried
cheating (rread: driving the lotus and the eagle ;-), but to no avail.

Once I have a good first half of a lap (getting masta right, for
instance) I'm so hesitant to drive on the limit I lose loads of time
in the second half.

Mostly a very nicely balanced setup (based on Greger Huttu's, but
tweaked a little). Email me if you want it - in fact, I think I'll set
up a website and put it on that (with the replay of my PB lap), to save
people's time. Watch this space :-)

To quote Juha Kankkunen (badly) "Can I go faster?  Yes Just use more
accelerator, and less brake" At Spa, I can think of 3 place where you should
dab the brakes, maybe 4 places in a race. Any more than this and your losing
time. Tried the BRM here?

Spa is a riddle wrapped in an enigma!  There's been times when I felt that
I've pushed myself to the limit at every corner, only to come away with a
3:23-24.  Then, during an online race, I'm driving along, seemingly further
away from the limit, just trying to keep in touch with the others, and I set
a 3:19:72.  I'm sure there's a lesson in there somewhere, but it's lost on
me!  :)

So, I'm braking at 7 places.  I don't see how you could get through some of
these with just a 'confidence lift'...
I'm guessing your spots are La Source, Malmedy, la Cote?

Slow in fast out?  Quite often in GPL I've set PB times by "droning
around not pushing" - you concentrate on the line more then, you don't
over accelerate out of the corners.  Having said that, I'm not that fast
in GPL.

I brake at La source (hard) Eau rouge(quick dab) and Haute de la Cote (just
enough to swing the tail round). Sometimes I'll brake for malmedy, but this
is really no more than a dab to get the nose pointed in the right direction,
and I tend do it in a race so I don't risk stuffing the car, or when I get
my line wrong.

I use at least some brake in all those places - I can't imagine how to
do Haut de la Cote without braking.

You must spend a lot of time bouncing off the armco barrier at Les
Combes.  (Or is Haute de la Cote another name for this bit - the left
hander after Eau Rouge).  You have to brake pretty hard there.  And also
Blanchimont.  I'm not sure where you mean by Haute de la Cote - but I
don't see how you can get away with not braking at these two places in
addition to la source and Eau Rouge
