Recently Jaguar(pronounced by the Brits as Jag YOU Are) {not the
proper Jag whar like us Yanks) :)  :>  <VBG>   ;)
Well anyway, the Jag team thought it signed  a contract with Mclaren's
Chief Designer Adrian Newey.  It was to take effect next August 2002 when
his current contract expired.  As soon as Ron Dennis of Mclaren heard this,
he immeadiately extended Newey's contract....this brought about a very ***
legal fight that abruptly ended today When Mclaren and Newey both
appologized to Jaguar.
See DailyF1.com for details...or other F1 sites...but my question, as posed
in the topic is...just how much did that apology cost Mclaren??

Not cheap I'm sure. But maybe a deal has been struck for something
other than money? Intellectual property, or staffing/services?

Sorry but the patent   "English- a language derived from Archaic German with
strong Franco-Norse-Celtic influences and modifiers" expired on June 4,
1738. ( a Tuesday if I recall correctly). Furthermore since the name of the
motor company in question was derived from the South and Central American
cat the New World pronunciation takes precedence.

Suggest you buy a taller soap box :)

Nah.  Brits English wasn't invented.  It just sort of happened.  Kind of
like my Tennessee hillbilly :-)

June 4 1738?  Is that the day a load of British settlers won their freedom
from another load of Brits?

Also, the cat was probably named by a european explorer.
