I'm running GPL on a GF2 MX400 card on a PIII 500, and have none of your fps problems.  EIther you
have a dud card, or you have some settings that are incorrect.  But on that system, as with mine you
will almost never get 36fps on or near the back of the grid as you did with the Voodoo card.  Mine
goes to 36 right after the start, so its a non-issue for me at least.  You should also try the new
OpenGL rasterizer posted at the racesim forum, but you have to be running 30.30 detonators or higher
I believe(at the OpenGL part).

What's this new OpenGL rasterizer? I'm running a GF2 GTS, will it help? Why
do I need 30.30 detonators?

I have the exact same card - no problems, 36fps pegged.

I am running an Athlon 1.4 but I've tested same card on
a XP2000+ and it's about the same.

Make sure Anti-Aliasing is off.

GeForce cards suck lots of power - how good is your PSU?
I had to upgrade to a 450W for stability with Athlon and
a geforce2 card.
