N3 Vegas AI

Is it just me or do they take an obsurdley strange line here?  After seeing how
the real NASCAR boys do it this weekend the N3 AI seem to take too low of a
line in/out of the corner.  Its most noticible in turns 1&4 and down the front
straight.  They dont drift out to the wall like I end up doing on my clean
flying laps.  Also seems easy to pick them apart and work your way thru the
field quickly in the corners.  I looked all over the net but so far have yet to
find an AI update for this track in N3.  Anyone know of one or has it not been
done yet?

They have a Vegas AI fix and speed fix. I have yet to try it but these guys
know their stuff so I'm assuming it is good.

No, it's not just you.  Papy just screwed the pooch on this one.  It's
still a fun track to race though, just trying to avoid the idiot AI.

I was running a race there on sunday night, leading by 18 seconds (!!),
running 32.5's, really hooked up.  With about 40 laps to go, was
picking my way through lapped traffic, this quad-lapped a$$hole pinched
me down coming out of turn 4... I just *barely* touched his left rear
bumper with my right front... barest of touches... PILEUP!!

When you watch the real deal, if a lapped guy is being overtaken again,
they give the leader the preferred line.

What's even more funny in N3 is some drivers will take the high line
(for no reason), while others take the low one, trying to overtake
traffic is like a crapshoot... go low and get pinched onto the tarmac,
go high and get sideswiped into the wall.

BTW, this subject of Vegas AI in N99/N3 has been visited on this NG
before.  It sucks.  Makes the track a challenge though :)  Gotta keep
from getting loose out of 2 and 4 when you're getting pinched down, but
gotta keep from getting too tight when existing those same corners on
an outside line.  It makes for an entertaining, if frustrating, race.

What are most people running here for laptimes after 20-25 laps??  I
got a great setup I tweaked on and I can run 32.5's from about 20-40
laps on green runs... ON RAILS!
