F1RS Demo

I just got the demo off of the Boot magazine CD.  I install it and
everytime I try to run it, I get a Kernel32.dll error.  Anyone have
this problem, or even heard of it?  Any work around available?

no idea, I get a similiar error. some of the rocket scientist around
here will say its from not having direct x installed which is not
accurate since I have direct installed and get similiar error.

Well, what setup do you have?  Maybe we can figure out the situation.
I have a P120, 48 megs of ram, monster 3d, SB16, Matrox Mystque,
Win95B.  What do you have?

Hi all,

I downloaded the English demo for F1RS from www.f1racingsim.com. There are
11 files compacted using rar. I installed the game on my PC (K6-233 MMX with
32 Mb) but when I try to run the D3D version, nothing happens. I tried
putting the game on several different locations like \F1RS and \PROGRAM
FILES\F1RS but got the same.

Do someone has a clue on whats going on? By the way, I have MS CPR (the new
demo) installed and it is working, so I suppose my DX 5 is OK.

I got the demo from the disc in this months Boot magazine, & I'm having
the same trouble.  I have a 3dfx & a V1000 board & neither version of
the game will work.  I have other games which run just fine that use my
3dfx, my rendition, & DX5, so drivers shouldn't be any issue.  Please,
help is needed!

I got the French demo at
http://www.3dfxmania.com/games/f1racingsimulation.shtml

It works fine.

But like you, neither version on the Boot magazine CD works.

Thanx a lot Alan, I'm going to get it now.  Thank goodness for GetRight,
it'll be downloaded for me when I get home from work tonite!  Has anyone
had any success with the F1RS demo from the BOOT disc?

It seems that the demo on the boot magazine CD works only with the
keyboard. On my system, the demo spit me out to Win95 if I had a
joystick connected to the game port on my AWE64 Gold. I tried three
different controllers; an MS Sidewinder Precision Pro, an MS Gamepad,
and a Logitech ***man 2. The *** Device Profiler was not loaded in
memory so I doubt that this is the problem. To get it to run, simply
unplug your joystick. Yeah I know, the keyboard control bites...

I posted the same problem on here.  The solution (you won't believe
this) was to unplug all joysticks.  It actually worked.
