The best thing would be to get a replay and teach the guys what they can
and cannot do. I think we found earlier that you put your car in danger by
cutting through other driver's pitboxes. If he had required a tow and
materialized in his pit while you are cutting thru...your car could suffer
major damage...
Basic rules of pitting.
1: enter and exit pit lane using the outside lane, (farthest from the wall
the pitcrews jump over)
2. Use the middle lane to merge into or out of your pits
3. only turn into your pitbox when you are there, this can make things
tough sometimes to get into your box especially if a car is in the pit stall
just behind you but that's what Nascar is all about. Last week's race at
Texas had a situation where Dale Jarret couldn't get OUT of his pit cuz Jeff
Gordon's car was stuck out at a weird angle.
4. No passing to the inside of a driver ever. besides being dangerous to
crewmembers, it's just inconsiderate of your other drivers, you all have
a-lot to pay attention to during a pitstop, adding the extra worry of a car
jetting up the inside is just one more problem that 'shouldn't' be
happening.
(dang I should get paid fer all this book learnin')
