I've been reading all you frustrated 'Yanks!' about being 'ripped off' etc
about CPR. However Microsoft deals with UK customers with a bit more respect,
because we approach problems in a more respectful way. I've had a positive
response to my queries on the game and I have only got the demo. That's because
it's not been released here yet. When it is, there will be no frustrated
customers here because it will be the 'real thing'. i.e. no patches, just a
full and properly working game on a CD without having to download seperate
files (patches) as you seem to have to do 'over there'!

I agree that it is nice to get a product that doesn't need patching, but
I don't feel in the slightest bit "respected" for being forced to wait
several months. Rather makes me think that the European market is
considered an inconsequential afterthought by Microsoft.

Given that the CART champion is Italian, Blundell is now a force to be
reckoned with, etc. a rather earlier release might have been appropriate.
As it is, we've now got F1RS and GPL may not be that far away by the time
CPR is finally released over here. IMHO, CPR has completely missed the
European boat :(

Cheers,
Richard

Totally agree - I had VERY high hopes for CPR when I saw the previews &
screen shots to the extent I would have bought it on the strength of the
hype. I was in two minds whether to get F1RS or wait for CPR until I found
out CPR was to be delayed here in the UK. Now I've got F1RS & have altered
the setup to my liking (like I can in the CPR demo), I believe F1RS to be a
far superior product.

I'd love to have a top notch Indycar (sorry Cart) sim to complement the F1
sim - but I just don't think I'd be happy with the feel & AI provided with
CPR.

Maybe they can patch it into a good game - but I'm not impatiently waiting
for its release - which means something else (GPL?) may be attracting my
attention when it finally is available over here.
