I wish it would have popped up just a second earlier.. then the damage
wouldn't have been so bad. As you can see it popped up right after I
passed it, so it's stuck between the bumper and the engine. A tow
truck was needed to lift the car to get that damn thing away from
underneath my car :(
I couldn't drive on with my car, cooling fluid leaked all over the
place. I'm still waiting for a call of my garage to hear how bad the
damage is.

Yikes! That's a new one for me. At least there's some logic to it.  Reminds me
of being a tourist in L.A. years ago. After having lunch in a restaurant I'm
driving out of their parking lot when my passenger screams for me to stop. It
seems I was naively about to drive out the designated entrance, which would
have been onto a quiet two way traffic rural street.  I was so blown away I had
to get out of my car to have a look. I came within inchs of driving over
vicious steel claws that looked like they came of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, sticking
up out of the pavement, that could be driven over in only one direction, that
were designed to DESTROY your tires if driven over the wrong way. I wonder to
this day what kind of control freak moron would want to do this to their
customers.

The entrance & exit where I work at Budget Rent a Car has the same
contraptions.  Occasionally they malfunction & flatten tires even when
one drives in the correct direction.  We replace the customer's tire
(usually) when that happens. <g>

So if you have worn out tires and need them replaced, run on over to
Uncle Fester's and run over that thing and get 4 new fresh ones for
free! :)

Anyone see that commercial where the guy drives over that thing, then
says, "oh, briefcase!" and backs up?

Well think about it...if a customer has popped tires and gets hungry waiting
for a tow, where is he going to be eating?

Yes, it's the annoying Pep Boys add that you can see each commercial pause
on FOX during NASCAR races <G>

Sorry, dumb commercials just annoy me.

hehe,

although, it makes me wonder if there is a page where we can submit
our player bmp files in a kind of GPL album somewhere.  kind of like
the post where we all mentioned locations, etc.  has anybody done this
before?

Now *that* commercial is annoying :)  Just when I think I have my wife
convinced NASCAR Racing is not a bunch of rednecks, they come out with
THAT commercial... :)
