I guess they should have painted "STOP" on the other side of that thing too,
eh?

But why didn't you just Shift+R and continue. I mean sure, you would have
cold tires and a full fuel load but at least you would have got home.

Because the situation was very funny actually. The police was taking
pictures for evidence, and I asked them if I could get a copy.
He then told me to stand next to my car and he would make a photo for
me.
What also helps is that the car is from my company, completely insured
and I got a new car the same day..
Allthough I went from a Peugeot 106 1.4 to a Peugeot 106 1.1, but oh
well.. in 2 months time I start with a new job en get a new car anyway
:)

Wrong - the other side of that blok was open and had no STOP sign.
That block jumps out of a hole in the ground when the traffic lights
are red. A car in front of me started moving because the lights jumped
on green, so I followed him, not expecting that the lights turn to red
after 1 car passes. So that ***y thing jumped out of the ground
while I was driving over it. On the picture the hole where the block
jumps out of is underneath my car, I completely ripped that block from
the device..

It's a one way street so the STOP sign on the other side was for
people driving the wrong way. But the stupid thing is that they put a
stop sign at the END of the road..

What would have been funny is if the thing would have popped a half of
a second later...

Maybe they should introduce this system here in town also to stop some
of the damned light runners who almost hit me one a week.
