You would be surprised in real-life how minimal the angle is on those tyres.
Even in tight corners, the angle is really low and it's mostly the only time
you see it. And also, Im about sure it's not linear depending if the car
turns right or left. I say they do not turn lock-to-lock more than
5-6degrees.

Tiny angle of cornering in that picture above^^^. Very accurate.

So if this IS software mode, what's it going to need to run at a
reasonable speed? Are they going to make up for GP2 needing a PII 400 to
run all graphics with a full field by making this fast enough on an
average machine?
I can run MGPRS2 with most graphics on and 22 cars using a Voodoo2 card
on my P233 MMX (perhaps not an average machine, but it works for me for
most things). It would be nice if i didn't have to go out and break the
piggy bank to be able to run GP3.

Geoff Crammond's games take so long to finish, it will be obsolete by the
time its released.

But... Can you expand a little on your remark?
I see F1 cars in the screenshots. That indeed looks pretty much like
GP2!
I see Monaco. Also looks like GP2!
Camera positions look much like GP2.
Just what did you *expect* then to see from a F1 simulator??? Pit
girls? Bodies of dead animals on the track?
