GP2 - Performances

by Antoine Renau » Wed, 24 Jul 1996 04:00:00

If anyone knows:

What can I expect in terms of performance from this system
(I know it is not the best system but don't laugh at me)

Pentium 100Mhz
16 Meg RAM
Trident TGUI9440AGi

If anyone here has a similar setup please answer, i'd like to know
what to expect!

And by the way I've heard that GP2 is starting to appear on some FTP
sites...  Is this legal?  ;oP

Thanks in advance

Under DOS you'll get quite a few details under SVGA, except for
Monaco, which is a real crawler :-)

The faster "simpler" circuits are great (eg. Italy, Germany, etc)
on highish detail.

Well F1GP2 on CD takes up 500Mb (>200Mb track data, 200Mb of music)
so it's a neat trick to fit it into less ...

I've got a NEC Image P90 16Mb RAM and ET4000 32 2Mb RAM, with auto graphic
setting, I gets 16+ FPS, with some other detail off I can get 18+ FPS. It's
playable, and it will be more playable with your system, I think.

Go get it, it's good
