Confession and Questions about GPL

Thanks for all your input.  I don't have any doubt that GPL is a great
game, and I have no intention of spending any time fooling with the
warez version.  If I like it, I buy it.  I hope nobody got the wrong
impression about that.  I got that warez version a long time ago,
before I started racing.

I guess my main intent here was to make sure I could actually run it
properly before buying it.  I never did see anyone comment if I could
run it full screen (i.e., not that letterbox thing) at 1600.  The game
runs comfortably at that res for me with the D3D driver, but should I
be trying to make the Glide patch work?  I don't see how it could look
any better.  BTW, the V3 works properly, and has no resident V2
drivers lurking around.  This experimentation has all taken place with
a new install of Bill's finest and the newest V3 drivers.

As for all the F12K bashing, well, that's a matter of personal
opinion.  I rather like the game, although I know the tracks aren't
accurate, the physics suck, etc.  I originally only got it because it
had Indy, but after massive patching, found it to be ok.  Of course,
this whole argument will be moot after GP3 (or at least we all hope).

So, now I'm off to buy GPL!

I don't know.  I don't have it yet.  From what people are saying, my machine
might not even run it smoothly.  Since there's no demo to test it, I'm waiting
until either:1)I get a new system, or 2) The price drops considerably.

Never argue with an idiot.  He brings you down to his level, then beats you

>4.  If I buy it, where should I start (point me to a web site)?

In case you haven't bought it yet,  Media Play marked it down to
$9.99.  The best price I've found online is at www.cdromusa.com for
$13.95.

I happened to buy an extra at Media Play if you want it.  Email me for
details.
