Monster Fusion and 'dark' games. Glide problem??

by Tony O'Bri » Thu, 24 Jun 1999 04:00:00

Hi,
I'm running a Diamond Monster Fusion and have got problems with a few
games in that I can't get them bright enough.  Colin McRae for
instance.
Before ya post some message about changing Video Cards, that's out of
my budget so I'm looking for a solution.

Hunting around I've managed to get the impression that it's a problem
with the version of glide I've got.   ????
Loaded the latest monster fusion drivers and am running DX6.1
Does anybody out there KNOW of a solution and have the specifics of it
if it does exist.

Thanks in advance,
Tob

If you have the latest drivers for you Banshee card you should be able to
adjust the brightness for Glide, Direct 3d and your Desktop separately in
Control Panel under Display properties.

I got the same prob as Tony, only in reverse though. I can adjust all
settings perfectly well for most games (SCGT, TOCA2) but only GPL won't
change. I didn't have any prob before I had to reinstall GPL. Might the
problem be the glide2x.dll placed in the GPL directory (included in the
banshee patch)??

Any ideas/suggestions are very welcome, since GPL is a bit to light now!!!
(not too dark)

Bye,

Jarno
