Weird. I've just run a 100% distance in Germany on a 1-stop strategy.
I spent most of the race chasing Villeneuve for the lead. After my
only stop, I continued with the usual remaining+2 lap fuel load, but
to my surprise and dismay, by lap 42 (of 45) I was almost out of gas!
I had to make a quick stop for 4 more gallons and dropped to fourth
feeling pretty upset. I got past Alesi for third on lap 44 and then
the weirdness began:  Villeneuve dropped out of the race.  'Hmmm', I
thought, 'well, now I'll get second'.  But, then Hill droped out. Then
Alesi.  Etc., etc.  Before the end of lap 45, the entire field had
pulled off: out of fuel!  I have not seen this mentioned before.  Has
anyone encountered this absurdity?

Did you go into the sand very often ?

 Hmm are you sure you was chasing villie, perhaps it was his name
  but I bet it was the AI of Either Hill or Coultard as they were the
  94 racers.
