>(the 3Dfx patch is GREAT to me!), so IMO they don't qualify as releases.

What do you call ICR2-3D then? It was part of a game bundle with a video
card, and the 3D patch was made available later .. So was the Win95 version
of ICR2, a downloadable patch. I was trying to be sarcastic about Marc's
listing ... Guess I failed miserably :-)

What I listed were commercially available "boxed" versions of the
software.  Listing ALL the different versions of ICR2 is simply a waste
of bandwidth.

Oh yes!  After the major-let-down of CPR, I too am ready to have Papy
show everyone how it's done...again!

BTW, you forgot to list N1 with the track pack included.  Hmmm...How
many coffee coaster CD Roms are about...?<g>

First, thanks to you two taking the time and replying - much appreciated.

Second - what are the chances of a reply?  Papyrus used to occasionally drop a
note or two here, but I haven't seen anything from them since the N1999, N3
clarification some months ago.

Oh well.  At least CART still works.  :)

Thanks again.

How comce Sierra/Papy never released any add-on stuff for ICR2 like they have
done with most of the other sims? Just wondering cause I'm desperate for new
ICR2 stuff.

  Several Reasons,
The Nascar License brings in more $$
The Nascar Online Series consumed mucho develpment time
Microsoft got the CART license for a time
4 key programmer/development guys left Papyrus After ICR2 was  completed.

there are plenty of private contributions to ICR2.  check out the
Sim Project for GTP bodies, enclosed***pits etc.
