Hi all,

just found this on the High Gear forums:

http://www.racesimcentral.net/~rsdi/docs/gpxpatch/gpxsound.html

I have no idea how good it works, but it does sound like a dream come
true! I'll check it when I get back home.

If Rene keeps improving GP3 like this I might actually end up
installing it.

It's not bad, they sound best when not in a pack, but damn the replay
telemetry is awesome! looks just like tv.

Thanks for letting us know.  My biggest gripe with GP3 was the lack of
opponent sound.  I've installed it and it does work as advertised, once you
adjust the volumes a bit.

The GPxPatch utility really is superb.  I love the TV style graphics in the
replays.  Why has no-one mentioned it here before?

Cheers

Phil

This is great, now all we need is an-extra joystick button to allow us to
use the traction aid on are wheels..... possible also to be able to change
the % of traction help for each different car......?
Just like real life...

Plus launch control that fails on the line....

I like it! Just got it installed...I was originally concerned about
compatibility with "GP3 Video" but the two work together brilliantly.
Never realised how much the game could change with this simple
addition of sound! And the on-screen info is great too! Perhaps I'm
just e***d at the changes...have you noticed the crowd noise sound
FX? Getting slipstreamed at Monza seems a lot more exciting with you
hear the scream of the other car on your tail! And the sounds help to
avoid collision...as you can't always see a car which is alongside
(perhaps it like that in real F1 too).

It would be nice if the "yellow bricks" info would be brought up
automatically while driving and interspersed with the split and fast
lap times etc. Changing manually is great while on replay but not
while you're driving.

But regardless of that, it's an amazing piece of work. Thanks to all
those people who wrote GPxPatch :-)

I can't figure out replays in GP3.  How do I see more than the last 20
seconds?  Can I save a replay?  I read that by pressing <Insert> it's
supposed to change camera's but that doesn't seem to be working for me
either...

Also wondering how I can keep track of my lap times when practicing.  I see
my last lap time on the wheel, but I'd like to compare all laps at a
glance...

Use "GP3 Video" for looong replays.

Thanks I found that.  Just tried it at lunch in fact.  How do I change cars
or camera angles?  I tried <Insert> but it does not seem consistent.  Is
there a way to save a replay?

page up, page down, del, and left arrow keys.
use gpxpatch, under gpxSaT click show in***pit to see telemetry in
***pit.
To save a replay, exit practice click on options click on save click on
hotlap then exit the track and click load game to find your replay.
