What the hell do you mean you "can't recommend" NASCAR REVOLUTION?!
The friggin game hasn't even been released yet!
Man, you people with your Papy issued blinders on need to take a lesson in
objectivity!
ALL YOU'VE SEEN IS A PLAYABLE DEMO! (IF YOU EVEN BOTHERED WITH THAT)

And I'll tell you one thing, the NASCAR REVOLUTION demo sure beats the hell
out of PAPY's N3 demo ! (GET IT!?THERE IS NO PAPY N3 DEMO!)

As a matter of fact, Papy has just announced that N3 won't be "released"
until 10/99!!! This "sim" was supposed to be released last summer, then last
fall, then first quarter 1999, then first half 1999, now the END OF 1999!

HELLO!!!! People, there IS  NO SUCH THING AS NASCAR3 BY PAPY OR SIERRA!
They probably saw the NASCAR REVOLUTION demo by EA Sports and hat to
shit-can "N3" because they can't come close to matching the realism. And
after all, isn't realism one of the main qualities one looks for in a true
sim?

And don't start your ***up about the game not having this or not having
that! Any idiot knows the difference between a beta and a final release and
I'm sure you noticed the section about setting up your car, and setting the
driver ai, etc....

FOR GOD'S SAKE AT LEAST WAIT UNTIL THE GAME IS RELEASED BEFORE YOU START
ISSUING YOUR IDIOTIC OPINIONS! IT JUST MAKES YOU LOOK THAT MUCH MORE
IGNORANT!!!!

Ever heard of beta preview ? Or Alpha versions ? That some of us have
relation with *** companies and have access to more than just demos ?

Oh and btw, many people already saw more than just picture of Nascar Racing
3. It is presented at the Daytona as a preview.

Oh and finally...

> The friggin game hasn't even been released yet!

The PC game...no...but reading a lot of the features is just too, too much
reminicent (SP?) of the N64/PSX version. First big piece of evidence...the same
guy who produced NASCAR 99 for N64/PSX is working on NASCAR Revolution. You also
got Benny Parsons and Bob Jenkins doing commentary for N-Rev...which they did in
N99. You got 6 NASCAR legends car in N-Rev, which you can get in N99 (By
completing certain races at difficulty and length levels.). N99 was an arcade
game, and N-Rev looks like its just a port of N99.

Actually, a lot of Papy sim fans do race with sims from other companies. Should
I name a few? Bethesda (Burnout), Microprose (GP2), and Motorsports Simulations
Inc. looks very promising with AMA Superbike. The reason you see a lot of people
supporting Papyrus, though, is cause simply...Papyrus was there first in the
true, *** simulation market back in the early 90s with Indy 500:The
Simulation (Did I get that right?) and they right now dominate the sim world
with more sims than any of the companies I named ealier.

I didn't bother with it actually cause my system sucks. <G>

Granted, Papyrus doesn't have the best history for releasing their sims. But to
me, its worth the wait.

Ha! Its being previewed this weekend down at Daytona.

Now that's just plain funny. What's your definition of realism? Sorry, but Need
For Speed III doesn't count.

Yep. And if N-Rev has true-to-life realism then I'll be happy to add it to my
collection. But I'm not holding my breath considering EA Sports past record of
racing sims.

Well, you seemed to start your ***up about N3 not being released.

Thank you for proving that.

N99's car set up was dragging a slide bar back and forth and once you got one
set up to work good, it would work perfectly at almost any other track.

And I'm willing to bet that you're the only one who doesn't issue "idiotic
opinions"?

Look who's talking...

Oh man.......... This is a mess-up of a statement in truly
unbelievable proportions. They have already surpassed the realism
level of any sim past or present, with a product known as GPL. EA
Sports may be producing one of the most playable NASCAR *games* yet,
but you'd have to be as blinkered as you're claiming others to be, not
see how far Papy has raised the bar in "realism" and "sim"
expectations.

For the records, I have not played the demo... I know what the game is
like as I have played N99 on the N64. I actually found running Texas
required the same kind of style as running it in NASCAR2, just no
where near as demanding. Then I went to Marty, ROFL, anyone figured
out how to do a 125mph lap for pole? <G>

Ignorance is a harsh word for someone who wishes to make such bold
statements like those above. I am of course forgetting the "!" and the
CAPS and the possibility that this post is nothing but "troll-ope".

Oh and "Papy Vs N-Rev"... as N3 and N-Rev are both not out..

..... pools verdict.. Home win.

Thanks,

Doesn't Nascar Revolution take control of your car once it enters pit road?
This is not very realistic. Ok , I  agree, I have not dowloaded the demo,
and certainly I would be willing to see what it's like.
But as far as realism goes, Papyrus has it , hands down.

Let me guess............are you the guy that thinks
nEed 4 sPEed RuLZ............
Thanks for the delightful commentary.
I do happen to be one of the Papy faithful........but I will admit that Making any assumption for Revolution before the release based on a Arcade Demo isnt the smartest thing to do.....................BUT, It does have so many simularities to Nascar 99 by EA for the N64 and PSX. It IS BY EA, which in my mind, has great graphics for PC, but also has MASS population in mind, rather than the *** sim crowd when designing a game......comments like " The first sim you dont need to be an engineer to play............"(or whatever it is) should be a BIG hint that it wont be as real as it could be..............but again, that is MY opinion, and I will purchase Revolution out of curiosity............plus, I just think its neat to drive verticly on the walls at C***te........hehe
So again, please follow your own advice and not comment on games before the release and let the simulator fans discuss their own feelings as they wish.

So you haven't played the demo, but can comment on what the game is like
because you played Nascar99 on the Nintendo64???

I am amazed that people in this thread can reply about something that they
have never even tried.  Let alone compare it to a CONSOLE game that isn't
even the same game.

I have a N64, but its graphics and sound are awfull, compared to anything a
PC runs (with a 3dfx card).
