Ok, I did some research on my own awhile back since I wanted to do the same
thing. Heres what you need to do:
Go into your burnout directory and find the .cfg file, and open it in notepad.
It will say something like
E: C:\program files\bethesda\burn_pce\
depending on where you installed burnout and your cd rom drive. Change the
letter of your CD ROM drive to A:
then take a blank floppy and label it Burnout. Put it in your floppy drive,
start the game and voila! it plays fine. Any problems email me.
I noticed that when you started the game it didn't actually read the CD, so it
already knew the CD was there, so the only way for that to be happening was to
be reading off the label of the CD.
