Not sure if everyone knows, but Papy just updated their screen (2/25/00) shot
of their upcoming Craftsman Truck Expansion Pack.

When are they ever going to get rid of the ***y fuel guage?! How 'bout just a
fuel pressure guage? That'd be more realistic, me thinks. Looks good though...

I'm surprised no one's ripping Papy for releasing this as an Expansion Pack.
Oh well, my real amazement is the Tach located at the BOTTOM of the dash.
Nothing like looking into your crotch and through the steering wheel to
check those pit speed rpms.

Expansion Pack.

I"ve also wondered why there hasn't been more noise made about
that, considering all that came as standard with the previous
release NR1999!

Oh I forgot we aren't allowed to criticise Papyrus releases in
this NG:)

Rip Papy? More like rip Sierra. If Sierra would allow them to do what they want
N3 would've been the GPL-quality sim they had promised for so long and GPL2
would probably already be in the works. Sierra is what's holding them back and
is what's trying to squeeze as much money out of the old Indycar-engine games
as it can get.

Why rip them?

For ICR1, we had to buy the sim, and TWO expansion packs to get all the
tracks and a paintkit - total sim was then like $100.  We had to buy a track
pack for N1 - total sim $75, and a BGN pack for N2 - $75 total again.  N99
was if anything the exception, not the rule.

Last time I checked, nobody is forcing anyone to buy any of this.

Probably because I have no intention of buying it...  No interest, so why ***
about it? :)
