How do you get a decent gear shifter with
these GPLEA cars. Its hard to see what gear
your in with these default shifters.

Hard yes, but it's not impossible. My advice is to sick with it and
you'll get used to it very quickly.

Very true Gerry.

Plus, the recent Cooper and Lotus releases have been rush jobs, so hopefully
the 'proper' release versions will have options for gated shifters, 2D
wheels, 4 bit skins etc.

I occasionally get confused with which gear I'm in, I switch to the F10 view
& it's shown at the bottom.

If you can clearly see the lotus logo on the gearstick, you're in 2nd or
4th. You should be able to sort out the difference ok between those.

After that it's just practice.
