Hi all

I was wondering if anyone had ever got SCGT to work online?  I
installed this game last night, updated it to V1551, played it a bit,
thought it could be a fun online racing game, but could not get the
pesky thing to work multiplayer.

Anyone know of any tips?  Also, does anyone know which ports it uses?

Thanks for the help

about 4 players..maybe 5 max with all having really good
connections...it's a shame cuz plenty of those cars would make for great
online racing.

No, I meant that we couldn't get the games to connect to one another.
At all.  So it was more like no cars racing around against each other.

Its been a long time, but yes I think we had 3 guys playing at once. I think
the max number of players is 6.

Yes I got it to work online last year sometime, but the problem exists in
that if you are running on a 56K connection, even having two cars on the
track slows the game down so badly that it looks like it is running on a VCR
in "Frame Advance". So I would not recommend running it in Multi-player
unless you and all participants have really GOOD Broadband connections.

"Spadge Fromley">
OK, what type of modems do you have?  Dial-up?  Cable?  DSL?  I don't
think you will find tooo many online experts since it was just so bad online
not too many people tried it.  There is an online league but I don't know
the address.

I'm running cable, my bro is running adsl.  We play GPL together
almost daily, and just wanted something a little different (ie the
ability to race at Donington, Laguna Seca and Hockenheim) for a
change.

Both of us can put our PCs in DMZ, and yet neither one can connect to
the other.  I don't even see his game.  He can see mine, but trying to
connect freezes the PC.  We're both running version 1551 of the game.

If we can't get it to work, then I guess it's no big deal, there's
always SBK2001 for those circuits, even if it is one of the buggiest
online games ever written (thanks EA).

Thanks for all the responses though.

Is anyone here still racing Sports Car Gt? I'm always looking for extra
stuff for it, but I haven't seen any posts recently.

Thanks
